• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

What incentive do they have to invade? Russia taking Alaska seems plausible but China and Russia are building up forces on their own borders to protect against each other. Chances of their leadership and military being able to coordinate a land based invasion of the US or splitting it up after said invasion = 0%

They'll blow us to oblivion if we lose air dominance. That's the war right there.

Besides China can't feed themselves without US farm production and Russia does want China to have access to petro and natgas.

I'd be more concerned about Chinese missiles in South America.

When I needed it, dated a very nice lady that to this day I call, "Clockwork Orange Lady". After a horrible heartbreak, dated her and for like 6 months. At least 4 days a week we started drinking at 1530, went back to my place or hers and screwed. Listened to Rock n Roll at threshold of pain. Screwed again. Went to bed and I woke up without an alarm rather a "mouth hug".

Heartbreak over.

It was awesome but there was very little "conversation" and I never felt emptier. Lol.

It's why I call her Clockwork Orange chick - for like 6 months I never wanted to screw, drink, or listen to Rock and Roll any more or I would get sick.

Not really - JK- just never fell in love - but damn - that solved the heartbreak !!

She bat shit crazy so no - not going back - a moment in time.

They don't need to attack us militarily they just need to make us disengage from the globe. America doesn't have that much natural resources when compared to the whole world. I still think the reason Obama wanted to cut the military while increasing wars was to end up with a really bad loss that would make avg Americans beg to come home with our tales tucked. They'll cut funding again and run the military harder on less resources and when something bad happens they'll pretend that it was because Iran was just tougher than we were.

I'd disagree here. I'd argue the goal is to focus the conflict away from the desired region of advancement.

They want us focused on the Middle East and Africa because Asia and South America is where the fight is.

I've been dreaming of the day US forces get involved in Central and South America in the manner they should.

Also we finally had a CiC that was smart enough to demand our cheap shit come from Mexico (a great strategic ally) as opposed to getting it from our biggest enemy in the Chicoms.

The USMCA is a HUGE deal and should be just the beginning. We could solve many of our border and immigration problems by sending the money we already spend south as opposed to across the Pacific.
