Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Bros, there is a nearly 100% chance Russia invades Ukraine. By nearly 100% I mean 99.999999%. In the next week or so, they will have nearly 3x the number of troops on the border as they deployed to take Crimea and the Donbas, and nearly 4x what they used to invade Chechnya. I’d give it about 10-15 days until Russian T-80s and BMPs cross the border.
Zelensky is saying Russia won’t invade, because he’s worried about the Russians using Ukrainian preparations as a provocation to start operations. Behind the scenes the Ukrainian military and intelligence is shitting bricks. So much so, they are conducting mass training of civilians in resistance and guerilla warfare. The Germans are being complete faggits, and downplaying the threat, because they’re worried about losing Russian gas. The former Soviet and eastern European countries are convinced an invasion is coming, and are preparing.
The Russians are planning on losing a lot of people in this shit too. They recently released national directives to local governments on how to prepare for, and conduct, mass burials of military dead. Down to how to dig the pits, and stack the coffins to save space.
The real question will be how much of the country will they take? If I had to guess, I’d say at least Kiev, to try and decapitate the UKR government so they can install puppets, push out to the Dneiper River, to take the most Russian-friendly Ukrainian territory, and the Black Sea coast from Mariupol to Odessa, to cut Ukraine off from the Black Sea ports, have continuous possession from southern Russia to Transnistria in Moldova, and securing Crimea’s water supply.
