• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Ladies and gentlemen and y'all raising kids? (Obviously a 4 year old is isn't the age appropriate target audience....but that 4 year old's mama and daddy are).

This is really cool. I'm sending the link to my son's civics teacher. (He's a good one. He probably already is taking hia lessons straight from Hillsdale, but if not, he'll love this)

I told Max about it and we're going to sit down together for this. ( My husband didn't realize I didn't know about this. He thought he told me)

Wesley Chapel. More like an hour and 20 minutes. And yes with traffic because traffic in Wesley Chapel has turned to an absolute shit show with all the northerners moving in. Sure hope these fucks aren't fleeing NY only to come here and vote for the same bullshit they are fleeing.
My mother in law lives on Siesta Key. We've always spent winter break and spring break down there. (yes...we have both in addition to Christmas break. Winter break is the last week of February) The last couple of years, we can't. It takes an hour just to get down Midnight Pass to get to her place and the beach. It's insane. (We like staying in the village. She's on Crescent Beach)

My husband and I have always agreed and known we'll be heading back to western Carolina ( my body and mind physically relaxes when I'm back out there and my husband will be the first to tell you he notices the change....even if I'm just driving through). A couple more years. We're just starting to look at properties now. I prefer NC, he likes SC. We'll find our spot.

Went sideways down the hill in the way to walking the dog at a doggy part. Socialization and shit. Anyway, it’s snow in’ and I’m driving and I hit a rut and kicked my ass end into the other lane. A car is about 200 yards down the hill coming up so I chase the slide and swerve back the other way towards the ditch on my side. I manage to almost straighten up when I hit a snow berm from a driveway and jump right back on the road. Didn’t skip a beat. The dude behind pulled up at a light down the hill was given me the thumbs up for coolness under pressure. Till I got to the dog park and realized he was probably pointing at half my front bumper still attached and dragging under the car. Oh well, still kick in’ and they ain’t got me yet! SKOL!
After a bong hit and a few IPAS, Viking remembers it like this

Voting bill collapses, Democrats unable to change filibuster

https://thefederalist.com/2022/01/1...ate-joe-biden-if-democrats-can-rig-elections/

Just a month before the 2020 election, radio host Rush Limbaugh commented that Democrats “resent the whole premise behind elections. Look, they don’t believe they should have to persuade anybody to agree with them … The modern-day Democrats have to go through the motions of campaigning, and they have to go through the motions of trying to win the hearts and minds of voters. But they resent the h-ll out of it. And in their world, it’s the one thing standing in their way: This need, this requirement to win elections. And I’m just telling you: As soon as they can figure out a way to eliminate elections, they will do it.”

Thanks for posting this. My 12 year old son and I are going to do a course together after he picks one that he’s most interested in.
