Well it started out as a project with my grandson, last fall and somehow it has become my thing. He finished college and was out of work, so we played with this, then he got a job and took off so I am messing with it.
It was an experiment, we/I invested about 2,000 initially. In less than a year have made that back just mining. He was going to do the trading, but as I said he had to move, so gramps is stuck.
Anyway, what I have learned is it is not going away, governments hate it because it gives the individual sovereignty. If they can shield themselves from the government.
It will never go away because we in the west don't get it but most of the 3rd world loves it and uses it because they have no access to banks etc.
From what I read Venezuela is surviving in many cases with crypto mining, their fiat is garbage.
The whole DeFi thing is very interesting.
You can see why Banks and Governments hate this, although governments are going to go after you when you bring it onshore.
The crooked political class and the Elite Trash have destroyed the Republic.
