So they can virtue signal and tell all their woke friends they had to spend Christmas in the hospital.
They have been conditioned to go there. Same as if they get the sniffles they immediately rush out to get tested. It all goes back to personal responsibility which has been lost on most people for decades. Plus it's free. The numbers of positives would be much less if they were paying for the tests, jabs or hospitalizations.

An unprecedented number of professional soccer players have been falling on the field or during practice with the vast majority experiencing heart problems. This week alone, three players died from heart attacks despite being young and healthy.
Croatian Marin Cacic, 23, Algerian Soufiane Lokar, 30, and Omani Makhlid Al Raqadi, 29, all died this week from heart attacks. None had known preexisting conditions that could have caused their cardiac arrests. The bodies of all three are being examined to determine root causes of death.

- Eligible blood donors who received a live attenuated COVID-19 vaccine or do not know what type of COVID-19 vaccine they received must wait two weeks before giving blood.

Q: I’ve heard claims that the Red Cross refuses to accept convalescent plasma from individuals who have received a COVID-19 vaccine because it wipes out the antibodies. Is this true?
A: There are claims circulating that incorrectly state that the Red Cross will not accept convalescent plasma donations from those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine because “the vaccine wipes out those antibodies making the convalescent plasma ineffective in treating other COVID-19 patients.” This is not accurate.
Due to the decline in hospital demand and because the Red Cross and our industry partners have been able to build a sufficient supply of convalescent plasma to meet the foreseeable needs of COVID-19 patients the Red Cross stopped collecting convalescent plasma completely on June 14.

These athletes in these pro leagues as well as all other "amateurs" should simply go on strike. Shut down the leagues until the Jabs are removed and all who took them at the mandate of the league commissioners should demand lifetime health coverage. Bankrupting the leagues is better than losing their lives.
