I did not start this, but I will not let someone else tell me or those I know how they will simply sit idly by while their rights are slowly taken one by one. Those who acquiesce to msm, social media, tech giants, etc condemning and banning conservative voices only harm us.

Department of education was instituted in 1979 (operational 1980) under Carter.
The entire model was based on Soviet production lines. Every child learns exactly the same thing at the same time. Every child will have the same, correct answer to pass the mandated tests (even the questions that ask for the 'best' answer. Well, that's a matter of opinion and the child better have the correct opinion). And if the child does get the right answer, but gets there through a method other than the mandated method of the day, the answer is wrong.
And if your child can't sit still for hours on end, he (it's overwhelmingly boys) shall be medicated and disciplined to render him unnaturally calm, docile, and malleable.
It's not education. It's rote memory and regurgitation; get the 'right' answer to move along. Education is fostering critical, independent thought and discernment and being able to support or or (gasp) learn you're position is unsupportable. (And I greatly admire the many educators who foster true education. And there are many who do so. There are more who just go along to get along.)
Administrators are under the mistaken belief they are the most important institution in a child's life. Because that's what's been spewed and accepted since 1980.
With 4 kids (3 girls and a boy) I've had more than my fair share of battles over the years on both points and am up against yet another one this year as my daughter graduates from hs. The current plan is that only students and teachers will be able to attend graduation in person. Parents can watch via zoom. Yeah, that's a hell no. I birthed this child. My husband and I will be at her graduation. Teachers can watch zoom.

Preciate it! That wood is beautiful but very difficult to work with...extremely hard, as the name indicates. It is cool how different it looks depending on the light, anywhere from dark brown to orange/gold.

It was all untreated wood. The top is 2x10 or 2x12, can’t remember. I used espresso stain followed by a couple layers of clear coat and then paste wax. For the frame I put a bottom coat of flat espresso spray paint with a top coat of antique white. Then I ran the orbital sander over it with 180 grit sandpaper. Then I wiped it down with a tack cloth and added a layer of paste wax.

Very well done. Love the wine rack. I’m about to redo our kitchen cabinets - changing from stain to painted. What would you recommend to remove the sheen on the stain? Conventional sanding or would the liquid sandpaper/stripper work as well?

And why exactly wouldn’t that be the solution? What peaceful avenue do we have if we cannot vote out our oppressors? Dominion is a mainstay in swing states now. We don’t have voter ID, we don’t have judges to take cases on voter fraud because they don’t understand the technology. If we can’t be heard or vote them out then what is the alternative? Why are we so quick to shy away from armed conflict when our forefathers did so much more for such a less offense?
Where we are at is not what they intended and they left us the 2A as part of the checks and balances against exactly what is happening now and in the modern age that just isn’t a viable solution and why not? What else do we have? I’ve been pouring over this since 2010 and maybe secession but outside of that if we want our rights back how do we do that when we can’t even trust our elections? Give me the peaceful path and I’ll take it 100 out of 100 times, but what is that path. I’m begging someone to tell me how we retain our rights if we are not willing to fight?
