Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. I was a senior in high school watching the game. I think I cried when Byron Bennet missed the field goal. Nebraska got beat (again) by a Florida team in a bowl game. I thought we would never win a MNC In my lifetime. We won the MNC 3 out of the next 4 while I was in college. Which was nice.
I went to the 1994 Orange Bowl when we beat Myhammy. I ran onto the field at the whistle and was running around like an idiot. I looked around and there was not that many people out there with me and there were a lot of police. One police dude tried to grab me and I stiff armed him in the chest and got away. Then a female one was coming at me and i juked her and she fell on her butt. I sprinted to the sideline and Lambeau leaped into the crowd. They pulled me up to safety. I spent the next hour trying to find my family walking around the area that seemed like Mogadishu at the time.
Call it the Jeffery Lubin Toobin award. IMO

Some info on this story, local schools in STL County are having their superintendents send out letters just now basically saying 'yeah we know about this, but we are going to keep doing what we are doing so disregard and mask up'.
