I know Vernon and have posted before about him. I’ve donated to his campaign despite leaving Georgia for Florida 2 years ago.

I’ve always liked him and believe he’d be a common sense governor and model after Desantis. With that said, I’ve mentioned before that I also understand he’s an opportunist. I still believe he’d be better than kemp or perdue.

I asked him directly a few months ago about rumors of sexual misconduct and that he has to know they are going to drop something on him. He shared there was an incident but that he was cleared of any wrongdoing and never had charges against him. He said he’s prepared and can defend anything thrown at him and that his past is clean.

Perhaps the Trump camp knows they have to distance. Just a guess.

The Jones' questions caused a lot of people to pull their backing of him. Personally, I haven't decided if its a deep state hit or the truth. The republican party has opened itself up so widely for any black man or woman to jump into the fray that it's hard not to look at Jones as an opportunist, at best.

Trump should have had a background investigation done of Jones himself. Find out the truth and dump him or stick by him (or Trump may have already had some detectives check Jones out and the answers weren't good). Endorsing a deep stater vs. a guy who stood by Trump the last year is a terrible look, and Trump should explain himself.

Regardless, Trump's track record with this sort of thing is awful. I will never get why some ITT have this unmovable devotion to a guy who repeatedly failed them. Unlike some, I don't believe Trump is a trojan horse, a deep state plant, or anything resembling it. He's just stubborn and blind, and unwilling to address his own failures. The vaccine should have made that abundantly clear to everyone ITT. Instead, they hang on to the hope of a return from the guy who stocked his government with republican - and democrat - deep staters, remains allied with Kevin McCarthy, welcomed Ronna Romney back with open arms, and now is endorsing the swampiest of swampers for GA gov.

All the while, Trump's biggest supporters willfully choose blindness instead of facing facts.
