Longer than I thought it would be, so feel free ti skip.. ..
Well, our boys played. They so fucking played. They're not quitting. They won't give the asshats what they want.
They played one hell of a game.
6 starters out... and they lost 35-34. I couldn't be prouder of these young men. Missed extra point to tie the game with 44 seconds left. I feel so bad for him. I think it's his only miss this year.
And don't think for a second this is over. Just trying to get the boys through the season with no chance of retaliation. And this is community wide outrage. Not just football.
The SI thought it would be "helpful" and "healing" for the principal to address the team after the game. Max got up and walked off the field... with my husband (who didn't hold back his opinion). Seriously... what in the actual fuck???? He's NEVER addressed the team. You idiots think NOW is the time???? My husband has already talked to the coach that if Max faces any consequence, we want to know (he won't from the coach. Coach appreciated and quietly supports the response). We'll keep escalating and embarrassing them as long as they want to push. NOT BACKING DOWN. EVER.
And unlike Potatus, we DO have precedent of admin targeting kids (specifically my kid) AND real leverage. First time ever we've even thought of using it. I won't hesitate. I'll burn this shit to the ground.
And I accidentally launched a shitstorm by posting a screen shot *and my subdued opinion* of one of the uber woke and tolerant woman running for school board. This should get fun.
This is how I started the text that I thought I was sending to my husband. Turns out I sent it to the entire fb parent text thread plus a few. (I've chosen not to show my entire text until I can confirm a few details involving others. If and once I do, I'll post the entire original message and the screenshots)

I apologized. Not because I give a shit for texting my opinion, but because it kinda derailed the discussion and focus of the text stream. (There's nothing I say privately that I will not say publicly. Everybody who knows me knows this.) And I was promptly told no apology was necessary. Quite the contrary. This shit *there's more* is going public.
On a not at all humble brag on Max note...
Max had 3 touchdowns and one forced fumble. 2 kick off returns 28 yds and 34 yds. Punt return for 46 yds.
After going through his receptions, we think he had 175 yds offense tonight. The shortest gain was 9 yds. You put the ball near him, he'll make a play. Miss him once and he's gone. And he's really good at making you miss him. He's shifty and fast AF. (There's a reason he's a 2 way middie). He's now tied for 2 in interceptions/defense.
He wears 17 for his sisters. All born on the 17th, 2 of whom have birthdays Sunday.
He never came off the field. He was even warming up to kick fg/pat in case our kicker got hurt. And geezus...I didn't know he could kick. He can.
At one point he looked up and was flat out laughing at me. I was wearing out the ref for not calling a personal foul. Well after the whistle, the opposing player was clearly and repeatedly shoving our player's head into the ground. I mean...it was some bullshit. The ref was standing 2 feet away, watched and didn't call it. So, of course I'm yelling at him. YOU'RE RIGHT THERE!!!
The frigging bitch AD snapped around to stare me down. So I took the time out from yelling at the ref to yell at her to turn around and focus on the game. She did. A few teenage boys and their parents might have peed their pants laughing.
My friend's husband asked if I thought anybody can really hear me. I pointed to Max and said yep. They ALL hear me.
So today was a good day even though they lost. Wasn't even supposed to be a game. And these boys manned right the fuck up.
I'm driving to Bucknell tomorrow for lacrosse. I get my baby boy all to myself for a few hours. And then get to watch him do his thing.
