Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Yes. If you analyze the data on a per 10,000 - 100,000 basis (to account for different group sizes) it all shows reduced hospitalization and death compared to the unjabbed.
I don’t think every hospital in the state, Ron, and Trump would all lie to us about the issue but it’s a touchy topic, with a wide range of opinions & expectations, and I’m not looking to get into it with folks.

Regardless of whether the CDC does Ron put together data from individual hospitals in the state that show it reduces the hospitalization & death rate thus bypassing the CDC either way.
I think we all agree that the number have been inflated for monetary purposes but that would be the same for both the vaxxed and unvaxxed to maximize money flow. A hospital admin isn’t gonna turn down extra money just because someone is “vaxxed”. “Following the money” leads to the cases and deaths on both sides being inflated (likely).

Those numbers (1800 and 700) mean nothing by themselves. You have to normalize those numbers to the size of the respective populations. This is what @America 1st is talking about with the "per 10k" or "per 100k" normalization. The Israeli data did this as part of their dashboard. For example, if 5 people from Group A died, and only 3 people from Group B died, what does that tell you? It tells you nothing until you learn that Group A had 100 people (5% deaths) and Group B had 12 people (25% deaths). This is the same. There are so many deaths among vaccinated people because there are so many vaccinated people.
It's OK to say that the vaccine has some effectiveness at reducing severe infections and death, while also believing that vaccine mandates are unconstitutional and that there issues with these vaccines regarding side effects, reactions, etc.

Could use some prayers coming towards my household, GoodPeople. Wife had surgery two weeks ago to remove a reoccurring polyp in her uterus, as we're pushing towards trying to have kids while fighting her endometriosis. Oncologist called back and said the tissue biopsy was precancerous. While its good we got to it, and it appears not to have spread....its still a gut punch and makes the push for kids a little more pressurized. Not how I envisioned our weekend to start.

To put it as simply as I understand, her upper and lower chambers are not beating in synch as they should. Her lower chamber is beating multiple times while the upper chamber skips. Everybody has this occasionally, but this is extreme. The cardiologist told her that if she was an 86 year old man who had smoked and drank all his life, he wouldn't be worried. As she's 22 and in perfect health otherwise (and until recently) he's, ahem, concerned.
In addition, her heartbeat is very slow. Ordinarily, that wouldn't concern me as she always has (both my dad and I have 'slow' heartbeats) but it's even slower than normal. She has to be careful when standing up so she doesn't pass out.
Her next appointment is in a couple of weeks. He'll determine if he's going to put her on beta blockers to try to regulate her heart or if she needs to go in a different direction.
This has been going on since April.

And it is good they caught it early. While it's scary (very) and I'm sure (know. Been there) her doctors will be extra vigilant, it's not that uncommon for women to have at least one or 2 precancerous diagnosis.

Yep very similar. Turns out Covid does not discriminate everybody in my house has it now. The kids have moved on passed it. My wife and I I think hopefully will be passed it in a couple of days
Mainly just weak and tired. Low low-grade fever. Some aching . But sleep has been fine
Feels just like a sinus infection. Hopefully we will be good as gold by Sunday. Thanks for your input and thoughts
