I would last a few minutes of their harrassment and then I would explode.
That makes me think of the testimony during his confirmation, where Justice Thomas commented about how he was being made out to be an uppity something or other. And I remember a moment of clarity at the time realizing that there was no such thing. It was never more than just something racist people said to shame black folks for making something of themselves.
Today, I'm struck by the strong sense that is no longer the case.
These men are exactly that. Men.
They didn't back down, but acquitted themselves with class and strength.

They are actually saying that voters should not look at the report.
