Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I listen to John Solomon’s Just the News podcast every day. I know he was supposedly the chosen one by the Trump administration (and Q?) to have the inside track. In today’s episode, he talked about the indictment and Durham within the first ten minutes (if you want to give it a listen). He said he knows things are going slower than some would like but this first indictment is an indicator that things are starting to roll. But the most interesting nugget to me was him stating that the statute of limitations will run out in September, October, and November since all of the spying on Trump occurred 5 years ago in 2016 so he’s on the clock. So sounds like it is put up or shut up time for the Durham report.

Gave us these rules, don’t touch this and touch that. I got shotgun and went to roll the window down, an approved move. Well, that window crank snapped off. He yelled and slammed his hands down on the steering wheel and bent it. We didn’t go to Cocunut Grove that night!

tl;dr: this week my mom tells my daughter she isn’t coming to her wedding with a bunch of unvaxxed Okies. I travel for work, get gout, haven’t slept for three days. My 79 yr old vaxxed dad gets covid, so does his wife who has MS and we “convince”him to get monoclonal antibodies today. Fuck it’s been a long week.
Travel for work to Orlando, and when I do my dad comes over to stay the night, drink, and solve all the problems of the world. I call him Sunday and Monday to coordinate but no answer. I drive to Orlando on Tuesday and he finally picks up the phone. Tells me he hasn’t been feeling well and that he is going to drive his 79 year old ass out and back from Orlando. We will eat and he will drop off my new Apex irons and Epic woods (humble brag fuckers). I ask him what are his symptoms. “I don’t have a headache” but I have runny nose, slight cough and I am tired “but I don’t have a headache”. I asked what the fuck does that mean? Well I don’t have covid. I am feeling much better. My CPAP is working great. I tell him I will call on Wednesday and don’t worry about driving over we will figure out the club situation later.
Call the next morning and talk to his wife. “Oh your dad is doing better, he took 2 two hour naps yesterday and slept the entire night”. WTF. Ok you guys are getting tested now…we are ok told them I would call back in 5. Called my daughter, she works for advent health, and energizes the fucking system to get them in for testing. She is a rock star and makes the appointments for them and calls my dad and directs him to get teated. He did the I don’t want to be a burden bullshit. She guilted him and he said ok. They go get tested and she goes to pick up my clubs (you didn’t think I would leave that out, did you) drops them two home covid tests and meets me for dinner in Lakeland. We finish dinner and discuss whether he had taken the home test. Didn’t know so we called. “No, not yet…go take the test. He tells both tests and on the way back to Tampa he calls her and he is positive but wants to wait for the formal test results before he does anything. We say ok and sleep on it.
Next morning call to see how everyone is doing. He says ok I am going to go to the VA. THE FUCK YOU ARE!! My greatest fear was that he would check in and never come out. Get my daughter on a conference call with dad and she tells him you have an appt to get the MAB at 1600. He doesn’t want to go and asks all kinds of questions about MAB. We answer than and he finally agrees to go. Daughter has to do a google talk on to the facility cause they couldn’t find it. The treatment was not hooking up to an IV bag. Got a shot in the left and right arm and one in the stomach. They are at home now.
It’s a new world and the old are not adapting. If you are sick you can’t hunker down and just get over it. We had to force them to go to the doc.
My mom sends a text that she is uncomfortable attending the wedding. She despised the trump picture I have in my house just so you get a baseline. Her crazy Lib sister and my idiot sister convinced her it just isn’t safe even though she has had three, count em three shots. Very disappointed for my daughter.
If you have never had gout (I hadn’t) it hurts. Right big toe. Dealing with emergency center in Orlando to get a shot after not sleeping here nights cause of pain was awesome. Every walk of life in and out. Place was a machine. Pretty sure that is where the hookers got their VD shots. It was some good people watching. Anyway, get the shots and feel better. Will load up on the Tylenol and codine tonight.
Oh and Durham has a list like I said 3 years ago. 15-18 indictments coming. You are hearing about this one so the guy makes a deal….
