Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

It is amazing and sad at the same time how much the media and tech giants (Google, Twitter, FB…) are helping to take down our country and for what? Money? Are they being blackmailed like members of Congress as well as our President.
You can take conspiracy theories and all the other stuff and everyone has their opinion. Regardless of your take there is obviously a coordinated effort to silence conservatives, opposing opinions, Trump and Trump supporters, those who oppose masks, vax, and lockdowns, people who want therapeutics like HCQ, Ivermectin… How is it we have a pandemic (real or fake), and you literally cannot have an opinion on the treatments or they are removed. Same with January 6th, Hunters laptop, AfghanIstan, election audits, voter fraud…. They can remove conservative viewpoints and say it was an accident, or ban Trump and not even the GOP does anything about it in Congress. What will it take to make changes or are we doomed as a country and the cheating does not end. Hillary can delete 33k emails and nothing happens, but with Trump and Kavanaugh they can fabricate info and they get impeached or raked over the coals.

I got the chance to meet Phil Haney. He was an such an amazing patriot. He had worked for years to identify terrorists cells in America. He had identified Orlando night club shooter, San Bernardino shooters, and many more before they happened. He was told to scrub everything he had uncovered while working during the Obama era. He would not do it but it was done against his wishes.
He was going around the country telling his story and was recently married. I also understand He was about to join the Trump administration when he was “suicided”.

Coast Guard station west of Crab Island. Cast netted a few palm sized pinfish and kept getting jacked by Blues. Then upped to 50lb leader and grabbed the “prize” out of the live well. Hooked the chosen one through the lips (as opposed to under the dorsal - why not) and landed that nice little bull. The inshore charter captain next to me with a boat full of clients respectfully checked out - he knew it was a bad look and it was over. Good fucking way to end the day.
