• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I’m not disagreeing with you on that point, only the “popular” comment. I don’t think they are a distraction, I think this is there first move into straight socialism— followed by their grand finally of communism.

There is no army capable of that. Too many armed citizens, too many ex military.

They just need us in chaos. I suspect they'll cut off our power and gas and send America back to the stone age eventually. Yet, our only alternative is to sit idly by while totalitarianism takes complete control.

Agreeing to disagree is fine with me.

A large part of the reason I try to bring so much information on to the board is to keep people from jumping into a situation that turns into negative optics and hurts the America 1st movement.

This exactly. We have the number, resources, etc. Like everything else we have no leadership. No one knows what to do or where to turn. And who do we think are going to step up? Whose willing to try to rally people and be the target of the FBI or CIA and have the full force of the federal government come down on them. I believe people would get behind some sort of plan but damn it’s complex and multi faceted.
 
My fellow Americans,
Like a poster above, I am seriously depressed at what is transpiring in our country. I am in my late 30's and have family of 6. We all got covid about 6 weeks ago and are fine. My wife works for an advocacy group in Dallas area for sex abuse/traffick victims and will likely be fired in a couple of months (even though she can prove recent infection and immunity). Two of her bosses have already quit b/c of the forced vaccine mandate that came down about a month ago. To add insult to injury, as a nurse she will definitely have a hard time finding employment in the industry since most are pushing mandatory vaxxs (for now). Thankfully, we are in a healthy position financially and her lost income won't hurt too much (still not the point). I am already outcast at my firm as one of the few remaining unvaxxed---additional measures against the un-vaxxed have already been communicated by our HR but not enforced yet. Seems like today's announcement will likely be it. I'm not going to lose my job-- I can't for my families sake. Hopefully, my recent infection can buy a little time but I am seriously depressed after living through the stolen election and then seeing my fellow citizens turn a blind eye or cheer on these sorts of government overreach. Really smart people have lost their damn mind b/c of Covid and it's tearing us apart. Our beloved neighborhood in far north dallas has completely changed and just unbearable from a political leaning/school influence/covid reaction standpoint. Our 2nd grade kids school closed down for goodness sakes while sister elementaries in the same district aren't even conducting strict tracing protocols. People are acting insane (how dare you hold football practice while the school is quarantined!). Sometimes I wish I never took the red pill--- God help us

Just hang in there, brother...I’m not wearing blinders but despite the cliche, I’ve also experienced several times in life - it’s always darkest before the dawn. So many gov’s already speaking out. Let’s see what happens.

My uncle passed away in his late 40s of pancreatic cancer, about 20 years ago. He had been in city government his whole life, in Conway & Myrtle Beach, SC. Not some big wig, or politician, but he was known and respected by so many people.

His funeral was in Conway at his church, but he was buried in his hometown about 30 minutes down the highway. I still get a little misty eyed thinking about the scene of that funeral procession, and the reverence shown for my late uncle.

For over half an hour riding to the cemetary, every opposing car was stopped. At every crossroad, there was a state trooper or sherriff's deputy parked with his lights on to stop traffic, standing at attention by his car with his hat over his heart. I know that really meant alot to my Mom & all my uncle's family especially, that so many people took a moment from their busy lives to show a bit of respect. Good on you & your wife for doing that.
