I hate to disagree but the maps I've seen show her seat to not be in jeopardy. Looks like all they did was take some of her Pleasant Grove and Buckner Terrace areas away from her but left her strongest areas intact. She has virtually everything south of the Trinity River. It's a super safe minority democrat district.
I seriously doubt the residents of Highland Park would allow her to be their representative. The Legislature would not shove those residents into her district. The map I saw showed HP, SMU and University Park not in her district. However, they did give her the area just west of HP that goes up Lemmon Avenue in and around Love Field.

What I see is the current 30th district which she represents has been kept intact except for those areas in and around downtown and uptown. Those areas have now been placed in the 33rd district.
I see Crockett complaining that the new district takes her home out of the district. I have to assume she is living in uptown or the downtown area that is being removed from the 30th district and put in the 33rd.
Interestingly, many of the articles from various Texas sources show Crockett being upset at having her home removed and claiming that "on a fixed salary ($174,000/yr)" she cannot afford to purchase another home. WTF? Didn't she claim to own 3 multimillion dollar homes just after the election? Didn't she claim to be a tough as nails successful criminal defense attorney prior to election? Where did those houses or her money go?

I just watched a podcast on those satellite scans of the Giza pyramid complex. It looks like they are legit. That means the ocean and ground water used to be nearly 1000 ft below where it is now. They keep finding cities in 400ft of water. All those earthquake swarms let pressure off some areas and forces magma to other areas causing them to rise. If you think of the crust as a waterbed it makes a lot of sense.
