Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Did you guys hear about Voyager leaving our solar system? Supposedly when it exited the asteroid belt it turned on it's own. Something like that is supposed to be impossible in empty space. Makes you wonder what's in the nothingness.
Any funding they eliminate never is eliminated. It's just spent on something else. They claim they cut spending/programs but it's just moved to other pet projects.

Shouldn't. It's outside the sphere of our sun. Either there is something massive out there that moved with gravity or something is going on that we don't understand.... My theory is like a bug in car. It can fly around unbothered by the air outside the car but as soon as it leaves the car it sucked away at speed.... best analogy I can think of.

If a star burst a billion years ago and that blast is traveling at the edge of our system at that moment. I'd imagine no sail means doubtful but we don't know shit either and everything is a lie so there is that too.
