• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

The Pre authorization by insurance is what I saw to be the main point. I don't kbow more than that. Click on it and tell us

You saw what I saw and read. that silly thread symbol does nothing and won't open.
Yes it opens.

RFK Jr. is removing the Catch 22 between the insured and insurer: Pre authorization.

Remember when doctors prescribed a medicine, or procedure only to have the insurer deny it?

One example was for a heart patient waiting for an approved transplant, but to keep him alive required a mechanical heart which the insurance company denied. Dr's installed it to keep him alive til the heart could be found. Insurance company sued the doctor for going against insurance recommendation.

Got it?

I heard a buddy of mine had moved to Denver after being arrested a few times for pot possession here in KY. He moved back pretty quick though because he said it was a shit show. He thought it would be nice to not have to worry about going to jail over a joint but he said he was smoking on a park bench and cop walked by him and waved... he looked around at the litter and graffiti and realized it sucked... and that was in fairly middle-class area at the time.

Legalizing drugs should still be done in the home and not in public.
