@DC_Draino
I’m old enough to remember when America would invade other countries for rigging Presidential elections, killing & imprisoning peaceful protestors, and arresting opposition leaders
Now we just do it ourselves

I do not disagree with Trumps sketchy past of choosing the right people but who out there in DC land has "talent or competence?" Karl Rove? People like that who have their man (Desantis) close to 30 points down to Trump currently? I think that is a fairly weak argument here IMO. Unless you know of any other talented people who aren't part of the system??
Nobody in Congress (or DC execs/appointees) become committee chairs, ranking members, Speaker, Majority Leader, Minority Leader, high up in the heirarchy etc. without being part of the establishment.

Trump stops at Miami cafe after pleading not guilty to federal charges

Former President Donald Trump stopped at a Miami cafe on Tuesday after pleading not guilty to federal charges in a nearby courtroom.
Trump stopped at Versailles, where he was greeted by religious leaders and supporters who prayed with him. He also ordered some pastries.
'Food for everyone," he said. The crowd sang "Happy Birthday" to him. The former president's birthday is tomorrow.
It came shortly after he was booked and pleaded not guilty to 37 felony charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Sen. J.D. Vance on Tuesday pledged to place a hold all on Biden Department of Justice nominations in response to the federal indictment of former President Donald Trump, which he described as an act of political harassment.
Vance made the announcement in response to the unsealing of the federal indictment, which accused Trump of mishandling classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
“Donald Trump is merely the latest victim of a Department of Justice that cares more about politics than law enforcement. Merrick Garland’s department harasses Christians for pro-life advocacy but allows hardened criminals to walk our streets unpunished. This must stop, and I will do everything in my ability to ensure it does,” Vance said in a statement.
“Starting today, I will hold all Department of Justice nominations. If Merrick Garland wants to use these officials to harass Joe Biden’s political opponents, we will grind his department to a halt.”
Vance spoke as Trump pleaded not guilty to the 37 federal charges in a Miami federal courthouse. Trump and his allies have dismissed the charges as politically motivated.
Vance's move would mean that nominees can no longer be cleared quickly by unanimous consent, and would require a floor vote in the chamber, where Democrats have a slim majority. Vance's office clarified that the hold would not apply to those nominated to the U.S. Marshal's Service.

SCOTUS Thursday: End of Affirmative Action? Can states challenge immigration law?

Rumblings that Thursday is the day. Thursday and Friday are the last scheduled opinion release days of the term.

We have:

Students for Fair Admissions vs. the University of North Carolina and Harvard College

This is the big one. Could end affirmative action entirely, but likely in college admissions.

United States vs. Texas

The other big one.
Whether state plaintiffs have Article III standing to challenge the Department of Homeland Security’s Guidelines for the Enforcement of Civil Immigration Law;

303 Creative vs. Ellis

Whether applying a public accommodation law to compel an artist to speak or stay silent violates the free speech clause of the First Amendment.

Jones vs. Hendrix

how criminal cases are handled in a specific technicality.

Mallory vs. Norfolk Southern

Whether the due process clause of the 14th Amendment prohibits a state from requiring a corporation to consent to personal jurisdiction to do business in the state.

Haalland vs. Bracken

Indian territory issue regarding child placement services

Would be nice if we had an attorney on here that was not so obsessed with basketball that might help the board sort through the rulings that come out. :unsure:

I can help, but only if its an 18 wheeler accident.

So, you are not going to answer my questions?

I think if you were honest with yourself, it is a little concerning for RD that he is so far down in his home state that he governs so well (according to your post above, right?) Regardless of how early it is.

"Down so far"? We're believing polls now? Perplexed, given that when the polling told us Biden was going to win in 2020, no LAC believed them. The polls at this point in 2015 showed Jeb Bush the leader.

The 2 most recent FLA polls showed a tie and a Desantis +1. Neither 538 nor RCP list any other recent polls.

The narrative being set by most of the polling is Trump is unbeatable. The polls are designed to discourage Desantis fundraising and cement support around Trump. There's really no other conclusion. That is, unless you all of the sudden believe in polling.
