Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Whew. Just got caught up after falling 40 or so pages behind during the Christmas season. We also crammed moving to a much more red area in League City, TX than the decaying Austin, TX amidst all of the other festivities of the season. When we moved to League City we were careful to look at houses only in Galveston County rather than Seabrook/Kemah and Harris County. Galveston County is a little more country and rock and roll than the progressive state Houston is becoming. Hopefully we will remain insulated down here for the time being.

I’ve felt weird for the past 48 hours, but not so bad I couldn’t do normal stuff. Woke up this morning at 3 am feelin like I got my head bashed in with a bowling ball. Fever, chills, dizziness, etc etc. I’m laid up now hoping I can kick this thing’s ass.
