Duh. I didn’t think about IPA, although to be honest I wouldn’t have know if it was actually created/developed in India. I am a fan myself and especially like the “hazy” versions.

Ipas were created by the the British. The added hops are to make it last longer as hops naturally extend the life of beer as a antimicrobial, plus the higher alcohol content also helped.

It was called India pale ale because it was invented for the long trips from Britain to India as they were a colony.

Plus the indian beer I've had has all been fairly light and weak
