Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Air travel isn’t a God given right. She had other options and chose that path for herself and her child.

It’s the parent’s choice whether to expose their kid to the bees or not in that circumstance.
If a parent wants to let their kids outside then they have to consider the consequences of such a choice including whether or not they are allergic to what’s outside.
Just like in this case the parents knew they were exposing their child to the mask. If they didn’t like that then they should have drove or traveled some other way.

You can drive from Alaska if you would really want to not fly. It might be more difficult but that’s still your choice along with your choice of where you live.
