Churches are the most desperate "organizations" in America. They had their chance to stand up and man out but they blew it. They have no relevance to our social interactions any longer. As Nietzsche said: "God is dead." And if you think he meant that our God has literally died no need to read any further.
You know as well as I that the moral fabric that was once under the strong arm protection of "the church" (and I don't mean Catholic) the American people had boudaries. They had morals. They taught those morals to their kids and then their kids laugh them to their kid and on and on. Today that is all gone for the most part.
We can't keep our kids in glass houses. The world today's children are growing up in is godless and their personas pay the price. They have no moral compass to guide them, so how can we be surprised wehnthey join the new socialist movements and think that they can create a better world. How can we be surprise when our ENTIRE schools system from 1st to a Masters Degree is based on the faculty teaching the KIDS HOW TO THINK instead of teaching them how to learn.
Knowing that this core dynamic is true, we don't have much to get excited about and thus we too, like the churches, become desperate and irrelevant in shaping the future.
