Ok faggits. Im brand new to the crypto world. I opened a Robinhood account and bought $1000 split between doge and ETH. Waiting on another $1000 to become available. What should I do with it? Not looking to constantly buy/sell. I want to park it and hopefully wake up with a lot of money one morning.

Avoid doge. It is a meme and there are literally 5billion more coins printed every year (5 years?). You are counting on all current economic theory of supply and demand to be wrong by buying doge IMO.

ETH is where it’s at!

Yeah, I’m holding 849 share of doge, I’ll keep that and not buy more. I also bought 5 shares of arkk. You have any thoughts on that?

you think I should put remaining money on ETH?

I’m on vacation so not doing a write up until this weekend. But I’ll put some thoughts together.

I think ETH is going to compete with Bitcoin for supremacy. There is room for both coins, but I think their prices should be similar.

ETH could be the future of finance

Bitcoin will always be the dominant one. People have been talking about Ethereum taking over in price and everything since like 2016 and it’s still not there yet

All crypto is a long play so who knows in the end

There’s more to ETH than currency though. Blockchain for data and smart contracts, or something like that.

it looks to be settling in in the “utility” realm as its the eternal resting place. It has a greater utility to do things, but as a currency Bitcoin is more straightforward especially to the Joe blow consumer who doesn’t have the first idea about Crypto

Unfortunately, very often in Tech it’s first mover advantage uber alles, the utility and quality of the tech be damned

Same reason we use QWERTY keyboards. Sure it’s not the most efficient, but was just the one people cling to

If you would stop posting rhetoric for one minute you might realize that Bitcoiners have been asking for stronger KYC-AML and clear regulations. Bitcoin is not a currency. It’s a store of value. The government has already said as much and it is taxed as an asset.
Bitcoin could be called a lot of things, but it is not a legitimate store of value. It is way too volatile to be classified as such.

It’s a good point. However, it’s less volatile today than years past and will become even less volatile over time. Need to have a 3-5 year horizon.

You seem to dislike crypto investing a lot.
It's just sad that nobody looks at it from the Trump / America 1st perspective.

Somebody had to speak out otherwise we just get an echo chamber of false confirmation. The number of times I've been proven right on the topic since starting this thread just proves that shit isn't a great as people make it seem.

Your approach is kind of reminding me of a virtue signaling mask wearer that runs up and chastises non-mask wearers.

Coiners would be the masks wearers in your circumstance with me just giving another opinion. People can put me on ignore if they dislike my opinions. Easily solves the problem.

Since I get a lot of hate in this thread I gotta agree with you.

I don't hate crypto. I think coiners are sad and I feel bad for them TBH.
We don’t hate you, we hate that you don’t have a healthy intellectual curiosity such that you would read about it or attempt to bone up on your knowledge at all. The result is you regurgitate repetitive Twitter arguments that have already been dealt with.

If you’d like to keep the same perspective your whole life and not be open to new information then God Bless, just don’t be surprised when people don’t respect your opinion anymore
