Biden coming after cryptos (@America 1st was right again)

We don’t hate you, we hate that you don’t have a healthy intellectual curiosity such that you would read about it or attempt to bone up on your knowledge at all. The result is you regurgitate repetitive Twitter arguments that have already been dealt with.

If you’d like to keep the same perspective your whole life and not be open to new information then God Bless, just don’t be surprised when people don’t respect your opinion anymore
This just assumed that I'm not broadening my horizons. I've read and researched plenty. I don't find any of the info provided here sufficient to change my view or opinion.

If fact as matter of intellectual honesty I feel more sure of my positions now than when this thread started.

Coiners essentially just want to yell the loudest and have everyone say they are right which simply isn't the case or intellectually honest.

Trump and the America 1st position on the topic make 100x more sense than anything stated against those positions I've stated ITT.

This is why you don't negotiate with terrorists. Now other terrorists will be attacking the country for Bitcoin.

Blind partisan faith in Trump isn’t a substitute for technical knowledge

Why do you think we are sad and feel bad for us when we are freaking banking it?
I couldn't imagine needing or wanting money badly enough that I would disregard what Trump has said and the America 1st position on a topic.

That's just one of many reasons...

It's not blind partisan faith tho.

It's a well researched, grounded, common sense position.

The fact that it gets called "blind partisan faith" says more about about the bias of the accusers than the accused...

Im about as MAGA as you can get, but the man is not a God.

I don't discriminate on where my money comes from as long as it comes in an honest fashion.

Nobody said he is a god but I'd imagine he is more informed on cryptos, intelligence, and finance than some randos on TFSF.

I'm partially against cryptos because I don't even view it as an honest fashion of money making.

Thats what makes me think that you really don't understand it. If you cant see that it has honest utililities then you are missing most of the concept.

It's not missing the concept.

It's just my opinion that it's negatives far outweigh any "honest" positives people want to paint onto it.

Reasonable minds can disagree 🤷‍♂️

Seems like many ITT just dislike that someone has different opinion than them. I certainly don't harass all the corners ITT and have wished many of them good luck and that they "make tons of money". In return I typically get called names. It shows who is really being intellectually honest and looking for discussion.

Your sources are confirmation bias Twitter articles from like 6 different accounts, all at the political level and none at the technical level.

It really doesn’t say anything at all about me. I actually read your posts and you do use “if it’s good enough for Trump it’s good enough for me” as your “Trump” card when someone says something you don’t understand. You can’t really deny that you do that all the time, but again you don’t ever listen to your own mistakes.

Running through topics you have shown a below average understanding

-networking
-ledgers and accounting
-blockchain
-Monetary Policy
-Ransomware
-Government IT landscape
-Keys

Now what you’re going to do is ignore all of this and say something to the effect of “personal attacks are all you have when you don’t have a point” even though I’ve broken it down point by point for you because in truth, you don’t understand this well enough to make an attack yourself.

You don't just get to claim superior technical knowledge & superior knowledge of the bulleted topics because you don't like someone else's position on those topics and certainly not when a broad range of intellectuals support that other person's position.

I don't have to attack you. Your attacks on me show I'm making really great points.

Of course I go back to Trump's position on the topic a lot. He certainly is going to understand the topic and have more technical and factual knowledge than some random person on the internet 🤷‍♂️

Im not trying to give you a hard time, sorry if it comes off that way on the keyboard. I just like the discussion.

FWIW, I was a yuge coin skeptic for a long time. But i did some reading and research and see real utility and value creation. Now, I have been wrong many times in my life and make no claims that I could not be wrong on this one again. But so far, my bets have been in the correct column. Time will tell who is right. Maybe we can check back in a few years.

I was yuge on coins and have come off of them. I feel pretty good about the position especially with what has come to light on them in the past year especially.

No shade here either. Enjoy the convo!

It bothers you because you know I have a point...
You don’t have a point. I called out an easy argumentative tactic you use that allows you to contend with other people when you don’t know anything about the topic at hand, namely feigning personal attacks and appeals to Authority (Trump)

Then, because you employ predictable easy arguments, you went out and did exactly what I said you would do because you’ve got nothing else.

You see that's not how intellectual honesty works especially when facts, technical function, and expert authority support the positions I've brought up.

I haven't just said "oh you don't have a point" because I don't like your point. That's not how adults have intellectually honest discussions.

I’ve tried that repeatedly, point by point, in the early pages of this thread and you pretending I hadn’t is somewhat disrespectful.

You’ve ignored the points I’ve made in the body of my last 3 posts so I’m not gonna pursue this anymore since you don’t listen anyways. Enjoy thinking the government is going to snag all the coins “on the grid” to your hearts content and being a contrarian

I've never contended the government was going to "snag" all your coins but nice attempt at deflection.

It's ok to agree to disagree and that's just what we'll have to do here.

I don't mind being called a contrarian. Seems to have played out pretty well for the maskers, vaxxers, Trump, ect as of late.

You actually are only being contrarian in this thread. Overall your parroting the mainstream hate on crypto. So crypto investors are actually the contrarians, right or wrong

It's just sad that nobody looks at it from the Trump / America 1st perspective.

Somebody had to speak out otherwise we just get an echo chamber of false confirmation. The number of times I've been proven right on the topic since starting this thread just proves that shit isn't a great as people make it seem.
@America 1st prefers things that give the government the right to control their citizens. He wrongly believed America is about Trump, flag and government rights. He is not a very deep thinker. Without Twitter, I’m not sure he would have a thought of his own.

Ok.. Im buying in so what is the best place to actually buy crypto? I've got a wallet set up on my phone but I can't purchase through it. I guess I can access my buy from my wallet?..

I might be dumber than a 5yo on this so help my old ass out.

Coinbase is the easiest, just download the app, but then they control your keys so you don’t solve the ultimate problem of owning it outright

The extra steps to do that is to get a swan bitcoin account, have it pull to a “green” wallet on your phone(download the app), and if you want, get a trezor or something so you can have it offline away from any sort of platform

Can I get my ETH and other Coins to my Ledger wallet from Coinbase?

Don't I pay transaction fees every time I move my coins around?
