Definitely Bidens fault but I am a bitch when it comes to the dentist, almost rather break a bone. Anyone had a tooth removed recently? Head in a couple days argh. Cracked my rear molar to gum line.
Its not that bad to be honest. Just keep telling your dentist that you have anxiety and ask if they can prescribe you something to help calm you down.

Get a crown, if you have to get a root canal get referred to an endodontics specialist, that's all they do and it will be a very easy process.

I had to have a root canal done to a molar then said molar broke the tooth below it in half when I was chewing (came down a little sideways) and now I have two crowns.

I can barely tell the difference in the crown and regular molar now.

From reading what I did not sure I can get a crown. So your molar is like 4 corners that front right corner (inside my mouth) cracked to the gumline and reading when cracked to gumline you cant do a crown.

So freaking weird I was eating popcorn and hit a kernel and that bitch just splintered. I thought it was the kernel stuck in my tooth then figured it out. Looking at it I should be in immense pain, I have zero pain. Put some dental cement on it for now.

Go see a dentist about it, my broken molar was to the gum line, they basically shave the tooth down then fit it for a porcelain cap that goes all the way to the gum line. The edge of the crown is flush with the top of my gums. I cannot feel any of the original tooth.

You should let the dentist make that determination. The things they do these days is amazing (as long as you're willing to pay for it).

Cracked a tooth on some peanuts a couple months back. Got infected under the tooth and I didn’t know it until I was almost bed ridden one morning.

Was close enough to my nerve they said I might never feel my bottom jaw again. It was an Israeli woman who used to serve in their military as an oral / maxillo surgeon.

She used that chisel and snapped the tooth in a couple pieces and it came right out. Can still feel my jaw too.

Other tooth came out with just some tweezers and some wiggling.

You’ll be fine. Don’t be afraid to keep asking for Novocain

Wife had a root canal right before chemo and we had some concerns it might get infected or need more after she started treatment and her immune system was wrecked.

Everything turned out fine. Would highly recommend an endo

Can’t help you with any firsthand knowledge but the way things are going hope you’re vaxxed or they may turn you away. On a side note I’ve started a makeshift dentist/doctor/airline out of my garage.

I’m well on my way to dentures because of all the candy I eat in the middle of the night. It’s worth it though because there is nothing like falling asleep with peanut m&ms in your mouth and then waking up with just the peanuts in there. Provides a nice end of the night and awakening experience

Some folks have very bad immune systems and can't stand infection, even mild infection. I was living out in Pahrump NV for 11 years and knew an old hippy that looked like he was half dead the first time I met the guy, pale and all gaunt looking. He was divorced and had a 10 year old son living with his mother on the east coast. He brought the boy to NV to raise him and he put his old property on the market and went up on the side of the valley and bought 5 acres and was in the process of moving and having his well drilled when he got really sick and suddenly went into a coma. Poor guy stayed comatose for 3 months in a Vegas hospital and finally pulled out of the coma. He started eating solid foods too soon while recupperating and popped a gut killing him. Pretty sad it was, his sister came and got the boy and his dog and took him in. Usually if you look sick you are sick. The best germ killer is Wild Turkey or anything other than Mad Dog 20/20. You have to watch that Wild Turkey if you're sitting down because you won't be able to feel your legs and feet when you stand up. ;0)

Sedation dentistry. You go to sleep and wake up. Tooth is gone. They will give you some "socket paste" to put on the site. You do not want to lose the clot that forms in the socket. Be gentle and careful when removing the packing material.

Read up on "dry socket" beforehand and talk with dentist about avoiding this.

Where are the dentists on this board? Where is @luvinthemouth???

Let me preface the following, I am not a dentist, but as a dental implant chris chris, I do work with and train a lot of them in dental implants, mostly work with surgeons and specialty dentists!

A fractured (cracked) tooth generally leads to a broken tooth! Your tooth was more than likely already damaged and you just finished the breakage with that kernel.
Your dentist would
Ultimately make the final call here but depending on how much tooth has been sheered off and how much root damage there is will determine the treatment appropriate for your case! A crown would be the most simple and expedient treatment, where as an extraction and replacement with dental implant would be the least simple! (although not a difficult procedure at all, it will be the most appointments and probably highest cost) a root canal would be somewhere in between, as long as the root structure of the tooth hasn’t been affected by the fracture and breakage!

Hopefully Your dentist would also not just extract the tooth without a plan of replacement! A missing tooth leads to further issues in the adjacent and opposing teeth.

Hope this is helpful!

I hear ya when it comes to the dentist, but trust me, having a tooth extraction can be a real lifesaver. I had one done recently and it was a breeze. If you're in the Lake County OH area, I highly recommend checking out Dr. Jeffrey Gross at jeffreygrossdds.com. He's the top implant dentist in the area and his team is great. They'll make sure you're comfortable throughout the whole process and that you get the best care possible.
Just a heads up, extractions can be a bit tender for a couple of days after but with some OTC pain meds and plenty of rest, you'll be back to normal in no time. Don't worry, you got this!

Went to my first endo specialist this summer when my usual dentist said they couldn’t do 2 root canals that I needed for a while and waited too long.
I will never go back to any normal dentist again, dude had me in and out of there in 20 minutes on a Friday at 445 pm. True professional and alpha male. Talked to him a couple weeks ago about getting another tooth fixed and he said not to waste my money if not in pain and recommended me to a guy that does the fake teeth thing but feel real.

Still have to see the dentist for cleanings and such but if a dentist wants to do a root canal run and find a new dentist. Any decent dentist will refer you to an endo

I cracked a molar to the gum line. My dentist sent me to an oral surgeon to remove it.

Since then, I've cracked and broken off parts of other molars. No dentist was seen. Just went about life with no issues. One upper molar broke playing golf and I spit out the broken off part of the tooth and the filling. It's been that way for almost 10 years with just some temp sensitivity.
