Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Haven't tried the ouzo yet they have a drink called a Hydramis special with ouzo orange juice lemon and grenadine gonna give it a shot after lunch ... Only 10am here

LoL I'm a light weight, not a heavy drinker. A 6 pack of beer will laste 2 months in the fridge. If I start to early I'll be done for the day by 2pm

My favorite kind of drinking is day drinking. Wake up start about 10am and then out like a light by 8pm.

Was just talking w my wife Friday on the plane about getting a 1 month rental in Sicily next year and visiting a bunch of places in the Southern Med.
Sardinia is on my list for an extended stay. I was there the week the great Franco Colombo died. Was like a national day of mourning.

A week, been doing the beach thing today tomorrow going to rent a car and drive the coast from Chania to Herakleion to check our knossos (oldest palace in Europe 2k BC) and drive back. Then we fly to Athens for 3 days and do the tourist thing check out the Acropolis n stuff.
Def recommend it very slow here right now mostly Europeans here. Resort is probably 30% occupied which is actually pretty awesome.

Yeah the beach is not very impressive but the view is amazballs. We are driving down the coast today so should be great. Going to a Greek island is a bucket list thing. I live just outside gulf shores and honestly the beaches are night and day better. Water not so much
