I think it would be a person that is known the most people throughout the world, from the United States. Of course, knowing that most of the world's population is from China and India, you can pretty much just through out the far east from this because it would be somebody like Mao or Ghandi.

Not sure, but the answer is celebs in our popular culture. Tiger and Ali would be the two highest athletes. People barely know who Michael Jordan is in places like Europe.
