White House Reverses Narrative on Republicans With Two-Faced Border Claim

The only reason the Republicans are sabotaging the deal now is to deny Biden a policy win in an election year. With a Republican majority in the House and Senate, Trump couldn't get his signature legislation passed. The gamesmanship is disgusting as we could resolve the issue in a week if Congress would tune out Trump and quit worrying about elections and who gets credit.

Once you study the issue with an open mind, you begin to see that if we returned to constitutional principles, each state has the authority to man its borders and keep trespassers out. The feds can protect federal land and the states along with the people can defend borders within a state.

If they simply applied the laws already on the books, the problem would be solved. It has nothing to do with giving Biden a "policy win", it has everything to do with creating law that doesn't allow a President to do what Biden has done via his inept policy.

Nobody complained when California installed a "wall" along the southern border in the late '80's early '90's. Nobody complained when California sent the NG to the southern border to try to halt the flow of "drugs" into California in the last year, but when Republicans do it, Biden and the Democrats whine like Bitches.

Bitch ass approach.

Biden doesn’t need a bill to close the border. He can do that any time. This is all about the money laundering operation in Ukraine.
Contrary to the B.S. Trump tells you, the president has no unilateral authority. He could've done more and now is being pushed into it, but we all know the bottom line: Trump don't want his pet issue taken away from him. He wants credit for any action (even if it's ineffective.)

Have you actually read the proposed bill? It's garbage. It would allow 150000 illegals to enter monthly (i.e. 5000 per day). So, this does what exactly to stop and prevent illegal crossings? You would rather have a bad border bill? I would prefer a border bill that adds to existing laws in ways that follows International Law, which would limit asylum seekers and increase expedited removal, make them wait in Mexico, which would force Mexico to do something at its Southern border and prevent them from entering Mexico, etc.

So spare us your "political" ideological inanity.

Exactly. Anyone thinking that a new law is needed in order to fix it, is the one who needs to study the issue with an open mind.

The fuck he don't. The potus IS the Executive Branch. All it takes is an EO to tell 'em to apply the law as it is written, and quit letting them in.

Dude you really ARE a moron. The United States Supreme Court gave regulatory agencies a lot of leeway in interpreting the law. So, they are currently rethinking the Chevron deference. Damn. Are you THAT uneducated?

What does "regulatory agencies" have to do with POTUS policy over illegal immigration or what the INA actually states? What do you think Mayorkus is being impeached for?

SCOTUS has actually been limiting "regulatory agencies" and their interpretation of the law which is why PLF is calling for the end of Chevron deference.
