Johnston's refusal to attack Grant during the seige of Vicksburg or Lee's second invasion of the north?

Me thinks it's an easy choice but lettuce discuss!

Johnston and Pemberton outnumbered Grant on two occasions during the seige. Worst decision ever not to attack.

At least Lee had a chance to do something even if he was playing into the union hands by hastening the war's end.

Door number 1. Hitting Grant at that point could have been the end for the North. Communication at that time must have complicated decision-making immensely.

Johnston was the worst General in the Civil War. Mississippi and Atlanta Campaign screwups are all timers.

Well that and the fact that any strat they did have focused on the Virginia Instead of the west.

Everything was backwards for the CSA it seemed.

Madison was a fool thinking he could walk into Canada and take it over without any resistance. For all of the shit France takes about WW1/2 they basically saved the United States. They were a huge advantage during the Revolutionary War and The War of 1812
