That "fat little girlfriends" speech is fuckin awesome!
He is a character. Off the top of my head I could tell several stories about things he has said and done.
One of best is he dropped a fake playbook before a game during warm-ups and the other team found it and game planned for it. We scored on the first 3 series. Lol.

Amen brother. That voice every day on 980 am was so comforting to me.
My mom and Rush were fighting cancer at the same time. After she passed, my old man sent Rush a letter encouraging him in his fight and telling him about my mom’s battle. Rush wrote him a hand written letter back. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that meant to my dad. Rush was a special man.

Don Rickles. Incredible comedian with a razor sharp wit. He would roast everyone with equal tenacity, but it was considered a badge of honor among those who knew him. Black, white, Italian, Irish, Jewish, it didn’t matter. Everyone laughed, because it was funny and nobody took it personally. If Don roasted you, you were somebody. He was from a time when people knew how to take a joke. Sadly, he’d be cancelled in a heartbeat today. RIP.

For all of you who dont know.................the chant "USA! USA! USA!" comes from the "Miracle on Ice". This of course was a victory over nearly an impossible feat, against a far superior team (which was argueably the best in the world).
Today, this would not happen as half the team would be female, and the other half wishing they were female.
