I somewhat regularly have to explain to my wife that Right of Way in traffic does not grant you some magical power that will keep others from running over you. I'm not sure if she has such a justice boner that she can't see the danger in these situations or what, but it seems pretty common sense to me.

I used to manage a lumber yard in DFW area. Had a guy show up thinking he could put 20’ 2x8’s in the bed of his truck. He was arguing with a couple of the yard guys who wouldn’t load him. I told him he could either pay $50 for a local delivery, go get a trailer, or come inside and get his money back. He left all angry, and shows up an hour later with a 8’ trailer, I asked him how he thought he would be safe with 12’ hanging off the back. He took his sunglasses off and said “I’m going to drop my tailgate and lean them into the bed”. I pointed out that his plan would only work if he lived in a straight line from the exit of our yard. He stood there for a few seconds and said “I really didn’t think 20’ was this long”.

The last thing I want on my tombstone:
He had the right of way.

Tachometer was not the thermostat for her car. Worked at an oil change/tire shop. Lady came in saying her car was overheating. Looked at and he told her of was fine. She disagreed so changed out thermostat. She left, drove home, then called and yelled at us over the phone stating her car was overheating again. Drove to her house and looked again. Asked her to explain what she was seeing. She stated,"every time I give it gas to go, the temperature gets to the redline".

I live in a small town. It’s whoever waves first until the tourist show up. Then I’m usually busy and wait my turn then go without hesitateation.
