Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

That was original film of a "spacewalk" in the 60s. Fake as fuck. The hose is fucked and the dude is clearly being held up and isn't floating

Yeah according to what I can find, NASA couldn't do live tv broadcasts back then, so instead they prerecorded this simulated version to be broadcast during the actual Gemini IX-A mission overlayed with the live audio feed, basically just to serve as a rudimentary visual representation for the public.
Surprisingly it seems NASA was entirely upfront about this from the beginning.
Whereas the handful of sources online currently claiming this particular simulated footage was supposedly presented to the public as if real live footage back in '66, are shamelessly omitting the well documented facts otherwise and thus deliberately lying, they're prolly controlled op fags intending to 'muddy the waters', so to speak. Could even be doing it on behalf of NASA to throw truthers off other genuine NASA cover-ups aye man.
