VA election / Youngkin called the winner

So what's the importance of this election overall? It seems like the Gov. and Attorney General spots could be very important in terms of election security for the midterms and the next general election.
It’s hard to understate how important it is.

If Youngkin even makes it close it’s VERY bad news for the Dims.

A Youngkin win might be enough to keep the BBB from ever passing, would signify a midterm route, and would almost certainly put an end to the idea of the filibuster being removed or carve outs happening.

TLDR:

A Youngkin win would effectively end Puddin’s term.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would a Youngkin win keep the BBB from passing? The governor position doesn't have to do with this does it?

Manchin and Sinema will be less likely to hitch the horse to his agenda.

Manchin only won by a little less than 3 points in a state Trump carried by over 30 points.

AZ has a very large Republican voter base and Sinema is already getting primaried from the left wing of the Dims. She needs Republican voters too.

Holy fuck have you been living under a rock?

No, but that part of the country is not really discussed much out West, and I only have a limited number of hours to track everything. Care to elaborate on the answers from America 1st above?

So is the idea that this election will show that the Dem's are losing a lot of the independents, as well as their own voter base, so many Dem's are going to act more moderate in their agenda in order to try to remain electable in the next election?

It’s a sign of where independents stand and base enthusiasm.

You don’t go from a supposed 10pt swing win in general election to losing Governor race. That’s a shift of epic proportions.

Or maybe it's an indication of cheating in the previous elections. On election day, if I remember correctly, Trump was up in Virginia for quite a while, but then the bigger, more liberal cities would come in later. It was always odd to me that the called VA for Biden so early, even when Trump had the lead. It's like they knew Biden would win it.

That was part of my previous point. If VA gets the Governor and AG as republicans, assuming they aren't RINO's, this will likely secure the elections for the upcoming races, in which senators and congress will be running. If the voting system is clean, maybe VA isn't a blue state after all???

Probably a bit of both (Loss of enthusiasm and cheating). If early voting and mail in voting numbers are way down (due to lack of (D) enthusiasm), it likely reduces the likelihood that Dems can steal enough votes to catch up. Especially with the talk about all of the extra (R) poll observers, as I've seen discussed on Telegram.

Oh no doubt the cheating is of epic proportions. I think they have not the ability to cheat as easy since there are not adjacent states to distract them. All eyes Nationally are on VA and NJ

They don't give 2 shits how many eyes are on them. They'll cheat, patriots will scream, an investigation will take place, nothing will happen, progressives will laugh, and then it'll happen again a year from now. I'd love to be wrong.
