This site asked me to login & when I tried it sent me a message saying this site has had a data leak and I should consider changing my password. WTF? Why am I not surprised that my data was compromised? Why should I expect this site be any different than all other sites stealing my info? Smdh.

Send me the info and I will have someone look into it.

My admin guy has cyber security training.

It’s not like we have any personal info on this site and especially no PII.

But we will definitely follow up on it and want security to be a priority.

It could be related to how chrome designates a “data leak”. We have a couple guys that have been logged into the backend, but we are using secure passwords and 2fa when possible.

It also could be saying that your specific password on this site has been compromised by another site.

We will take this very serious and get to the bottom of it. We have a small team right now and are working on getting better at all facets of this as quickly as we can

I'd bet money that's what it is. A few Chrome updates back they added that little message, and now it bitches at me every time I put in one of my usual passwords anywhere. Not that I really care bc I only use my usual password in places I don't really care about being compromised.

Old pea sounds like your machine may be compromised. I highly doubt the forum software would know if someone on the inside queried the MySQL backend and then dumped it in a public space. Most likely whatever was asking you to change your password just tricked you into giving up your password.

It asked me for my social security number and pictures of my wife’s b-hole when I logged in and I provided both 😞
