You’ve got families that lost their retirement in 2008 because of the housing crash. Then you saddle their kids with student loan debt and outrageous university costs. Then you take away everyone’s ability to buy a used car with that shit cash for clunkers deal. Now we have a mini housing boom which are real estate trusts buying up shit houses at ridiculous prices to rent out permanently. Then you throw in covid and a dead job market for new college grads.

You’ve got a huge swathe of the population with crippling debt, no car, can’t afford a house, and shit job opportunities. And in Virginia, and I’m sure it will be replicated at least in a few other states, you’ve got this shit. Not going to end well folks.
