There is a controversy in Georgia to change the name of Wheeler High School

because it is named after General Joseph Wheeler who was a confederate general.

It is a big to do in the local papers.

I would like to say that I FULLY SUPPORT THE NAME CHANGE. FULLY!!!

No because Wheeler fought for the Confederacy, but because he was a mediocre cavalry commander. Very mediocre.

I would support the change to the following:

John B. Gordon High School
JEB Stuart High School (forgiveness for Gettysburg sins)
Wade Hampton High School (Great Beefsteak Raid was an all timer)
Patrick Cleburne High School
