The weed is thriving
Mat 13:24-25 ..."The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way..."
This illustration is about false teachings that would infiltrate the true church of Christ.
The enemy, Satan, started sowing weed already in apostle John's day,
It took around 300 hundred years for it to grow sufficiently to render the true Church almost unrecognizable, and as foretold was superseded by an apostate "Universal Church".
( 2 Thes. 2:3-10; 1 John 4:3)
Since then Satan has controlled this church and used it at first to outlaw the reading of the bible under threat of severe persecution, thus forcing the people into ignorance.
This resulted in the spread of superstition, heathen philosophies and various errors, like paying for forgiveness, the divine right of kings, clergy and aristocracy.
The church used Greek philosophy to disseminate doctrines specifically formulated to support the first lie that we do not "really" die, but keep on living after death, leading to un-scriptural doctrines such as, consciousness of the dead, immortality of the soul and the blasphemous doctrine of eternal torture.
Heathen doctrines were taken from Babylon such as the Trinity, mother and saint worship, image and statue worship, hellfire, pagan holidays etc.. and were adopted into the Christian belief. (Gen. 3:4),
Despite this, during the approaching foretold " time of the end", God has greatly increased knowledge.
Information that was once hidden is revealed, so that searchers of truth have been given the tools to lift the veil of deceit and lies.(Dan. 12:4)
With the dispelling of old errors, the enemy brought forth new "frog like croakings " Evolution, scientific theories, Theosophy, Mormonism, Rosicrucianism, new age philosophy, Universalism, Scientology, higher criticism or geographically bound religion like Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam...etc
Another tool of the enemy of is producing "signs and wonders". Witchcraft, black art, fortune-telling, reiki healing, spiritualism, Yoga, Satanism, clairvoyance, sorcery, crystal-ball, tea-leaf reading, spirit-writing, palmistry, ESP, taro cards, astrology, horoscopes, ouija boards etc.(2 Thes. 2:9; Mt 7:22).
Having failed to destroy God's word the enemy continues to use the church to misrepresent the true teaching of Christ by twisting bible translations and interpretations in an attempt to lead the masses on the "broad road" leading to destruction.
Only a small minority of "christians" discern the difference between Christ's unadulterated headship and the teachings fostered by men who are controlling thousands of individual Christian factions.
These different denomination, concerned in preserving their own area of influence, although incapable of uniting under Christ's headship are unanimously agreeing to support the enemy's effort to erase God' personal name "Yahwe" into oblivion, removing it from all modern translation and replacing it with the generic title "Lord".
The name of the Father once having being eliminated facilitated the next step , which was to move the son- from the right hand of God- to the throne of God.
This usurpation is explained by claiming that mysteriously the son was actually the father the whole time. Creating the new popular catchphrase "Jesus is God".
We live in a time where the enemy is in control.
The weed has spread throughout the field.
Separating it from the wheat requires effort.
The premise is simple, a person accepting mainstream theology is NOT on the narrow road leading to life.
The complete separation of the wheat is something God will accomplish in His time, until then we should be careful to pluck only the true wheat for our sustenance because the tares - the bearded tarnel- is poisenous and difficult to recognize until fully matured, and warn others of it's nefarious influence so as to avoid it.
