The Russians have a pretty interesting special forces group, Alpha Group

Dr. Steve Turley has a short YT video of the group LINK here. They are a counter-terrorism special forces group that was created in 1974. In the video, Turley describes an event where some Islamists terrorist-held some important Russian people hostage and after the hostage negotiations came to an impasse the group identified the terrorists' family members and retaliated against them. They retaliated against the terrorist family members by dismembering them on video. The terrorists relented and released the hostages.

But anyway what I find interesting about the Russian Alpha Group, not only do they have a counter-terrorism mission they have a Christian spiritual mission.
