the Helion fusion reactor looks really promising

We've all heard the "its 20 years away" promise so many times already. However Helion is producing fusion reactions right now, and has done over 1,000 fusion reactions already. Not only that, but I like that it is skipping past steam turbines and using electromagnetic oscillations to produce current straight from the reactor to the grid. It's really novel and give the video a watch.

Helion is the 6th generation and the generation 7 reactor will be called Polaris, and it's expected to generate lots of excess power and be a commercial reactor that is profitable to operate.

I'm actually really impressed by the interview. This looks a lot more promising than the huge tokamak reactors being built elsewhere.

That's pretty amazing. There's so much margin for error on that sort of stuff. It's crazy that they're able to control that much power at such a high speed, syncing it perfectly to create that fusion at exactly the right point in the process.

Looks plausible. I wonder where they found the engineers for this project. I thought non-morons were extinct. I thought the last thing of value that America would produce is Costco roasted chicken. Anyway, my father worked on the foundational research for fusion reactors (magnetic containment of plasma). Maybe that research will finally produce results.

Once again, I urge anyone here who isn't a complete moron to leave the failing human gene pool and become Arkian.

How does one become an Arkian?
