The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes were must reads every day.... and twice on Sunday.
I have books for both. (I also have my grandmother's Family Circus books)
Agreed.
One of the best gifts I ever got was the hard bound set of the full Calvin and Hobbes collection. It is one of my favorite possessions. The sentimental value is what puts at the top. I remember buying the books as a wee lad and being excited every Sunday to grab the comic page. Ah... Those was the days!

I think another thing that makes these so good is that now that we are oulder, the humor still resonates but on a more adult level. That is what was so good about these comics! Not only did we laugh as kids but we still laugh as adults.

Looking at the picture, I thought this was going to be about pigs flying.
The best part of the Sunday paper is the NYT's Sunday crossword puzzle. Only thing I miss about stopping the newspaper although I've found a work around. Sunday morning ritual.
My Mom bought us the daily Far Side calendar every year for our Dorm in the early 90’s. My group of friends still send one around once a month.
