I for one would be ok with Transgender kids not being allowed in the classroom with my kids. They don't need to be around mentally ill people and transgenderism is a mental disorder.

SignUp Now!I agree that it’s a constitutional issue.I am a very staunch Christian, very against abortion of any kind…
But to argue with the masses on this is foolish.
I typically take the stance that it’s a constitutional issue versus a moral issue. I argue it should have never been a federal issue but stayed in the states purview… and once it gets back to the states, I would fight for the state to abolish and outlaw.
I don’t want DC regulating morality that’s not constitutionally protected…
In private, I will voice my beliefs when it comes up… and especially when I run into Christian’s who vote Democrat… as much as I dislike the republicans who pretend to be conservative, I at least vote for them because they don’t openly advocate for this murderous behavior and I have a big issue with Christian’s that bury their morality when it comes to abortion and voting for Dems… especially todays Dems.
This bitch had a MAJOR meltdown on live tv. "What you want them to do with their kids while they go to work?" How about thinking about that before you have children. And then once you do have children, YES, we expect you to take care of them and not dump them on society. You dumb whore.
"They are trading individual stocks enriching themselves" hhahahahahah. How dare they do something to take care of themselves.
What a stupid whore.

God Bless you!Just responding to have a little discussion. I respect your opinion but slightly disagree. And to get it out there im pretty much an atheist. For one, in the case of rape or incest I firmly believe there needs to be exceptions. Rape and incest are not Christian behavior and not correcting those situations is just as appalling to me as an abortion. Also, If the mothers life is in danger I am in favor of abortion as a last resort.
I have a child that was born with deformities. I still remember the phone call I got from my wife telling me we needed to go in for an ultra-sound to see what was wrong with our child. We were told that he would be born with club feet and that there was a 10% chance that something more serious could be going on. The nurse asked if we wanted to step out of the room and talk about considering an abortion. We thought about it but declined.
We ultimately decided to have our 4th child and as it turns out that 10% chance of more serious condition came to fruition and he has considerable health problems in his legs. That being said I can't imagine not having our son. Its a little more difficult with his disabilities and he won't live the same life as most other people, but he will be just fine and live a long prosperous life. Can't imagine not having him in my life and I'm a much better person because of him.
I also have a brother in law that is very autistic and borderline retarded. I don't think i would want to bring that into this world, it is not an easy life for him or those that have to care for him.
All that said, I think that SCOTUS got this right. Leave it to the states and each state can make the laws that their constituents think is appropriate.
And BIDEN is the one that is pissed off.

You're on point. @ChicagoFats is clueless. So, as you did, I'm just responding for discussion.
I mostly agree with you, but do have an issue that I feel throws a wrench in the exceptions for rape or incest...So if we outlaw abortion except for certain circumstances, such as rape, then how do we do that? If the woman can just claim rape, like check the box on this form saying you were raped, then anyone can just claim rape and get their abortion...but the flip side of that would be proving to the government that you were, in fact, raped, and then you are allowed to get your abortion. That sounds fucked up too, and I don't think many would support having to prove that to the government, whatever that even means.
IMO this issue is too divisive, and there is no middle ground to meet on. Abortion either is legal, or it isn't. I don't believe a compromise exists.

Isn't our current situation a compromise? You can have an abortion, just not a late term abortion?
Fair enough. I'd say that neither side is happy with that compromise, although makes some sense to me. I don't think you can meet in the middle with the exception for rape or incest though, because of what I posted above...but your reply is accurate.
Oh man, you have made my day. These are the types of questions/discussions that are the most important. I'd much rather talk about deep/tough questions than why our government/world is an absolute train wreck. As a wise man once said, "politics is downstream from culture, which is downstream from worldview." Until we understand our own worldview, we have zero chance of understanding the culture, let alone politics. There could be evolution and a God right? Those two things are not mutually exclusive to me.
I'm not steadfast in my belief that there is no God, there very well may be. But to me religion is a tool to control. The bible states one thing and then people say, no it doesn't really mean that (earth was made in 8 days as one example). Some of the most religious people i know are horrible people. The saying "there is a fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning" comes to mind. Religion just doesn't do it for me. I try to be a good person if there is a god or not a god.
Is this design really perfect? There is a lot of pain and suffering in this world. If there is an all powerful person, why do they allow that to exist?
So many questions that I just can't answer in my head. "Have faith" is not a good enough answer for me.
I certainly don't mean any disrespect to believers, its just not for me.
@SmokeHouse423 meant to reply so tagging instead.
Usually means its a good compromise!

If you are OK, I'd like to share my experience asking these questions and what I've found in deep research and by the grace of God.
Some of what you are hinting at here is the question of "Is God good?" Normally this argument is constructed through a binary of lens of "if evil exists, how can God be good?" The variable that is often excluded from these discussions is one you also bring up above: free will.
If we have choices, which I believe we do (to an finite extent), can you have good without evil? Expanding on this, how do you know what is good if you don't have the contrast of evil with which to compare the good? The answer ultimately is, you cannot know good without having something to contrast it against. Now often the argument goes in the direction of "what about heaven." How can heaven be perfectly good. The answer is that I do not see any evidence in the Bible of free will existing in heaven, only God's (perfect) will which is superior to our free will. The evidence of that superiority claim: pick up any newspaper or click on any news site today.
Now on your point of evolution. I agree on your point about evolution and God existing. I do think our "general" understanding of evolution is wildly off, but we are getting much better at understanding what goes on. Ironically, the concept of gain-of-function vs. loss-of-function, highlighted recently by our friends at NAID and the Wuhan Lab of Virology lends credence to this scenario. Now that we have been able to decode DNA, we have learned more.
As you may, or may not, know, DNA consists of ~3.4 billion individual characters. The interaction between those characters creates new proteins and those new proteins lead to evolutionary processes unfolding. Now that we have been studying DNA with the assistance of advanced data aggregation and modeling tools, we have modeled the different scenarios in which those characters (variables) interact with one another and the associated proteins that develop. What we have found is significant.
Most evolutionary biologists (i.e. Darwinians) have believed that external DNA bonding to human/animal/reptilian/plant DNA is what has caused "life-advancing" features such as the finch beaks changing that are part of Darwin's studies. That would be considered a "gain-of-function" mutation. We know that most cancers, diseases, etc... also develop via gain of function mutations. On the contrast, what we now know is that the finch beak mutates or a cat gets its spots, that it doesn't occur via a gain of function mutation, but rather a loss-of -unction mutation.
In a loss-of-function mutation, the DNA of an existing organism actually breaks down (loss-of-function) creating new proteins, that generate new genetic characteristics, such as a beak shape change, a cat having spots, a deer having distinct color patters, the color of a human skin being darker/lighter. At this stage we have also modeled this most of the DNA we know and found that those "life advancing" evolutionary events occur at a 99.99% rate via loss-of-function mutations (it's not 100% because we haven't completely decoded every single DNA organism on the planet quite yet).
The implications here are massive. It means the programming for those life advancing events were already "pre-coded" in DNA. The sophistication to account for those type of dynamics is a major proof point of a supreme intelligence being the author of all life. Don't take my word for it. Here is Evolutionary Biologist Michael Behe discussing his work:
Finally, you understand well, better than I, that life isn't "fair" or easy. Good piece of scripture that God's ways are not our ways, and this plays out throughout our world & culture. One of the most famous missionary stories in the world is that of Jim Elliott. He was a 26 year old man trying to share the Gospel with a remote and violent tribe in South America. He ultimately was murdered by that tribe, and knew that was a possibility. His wife went back in to engage that tribe, shared the Gospel, and the entire tribe came to faith in Jesus Christ. Is that a travesty? Maybe on a temporal timeline, but not on an eternal timeline. Jim just got to go be with the king sooner that the others. It also was the sentinel event to launch the international missionary board.
The Old Testament and The Law, (~600 rules, not just 10 Commandments) is to demonstrate that man can't remember everything we are supposed to do, let alone keep the Law. It's a mirror that highlights we are insufficient. and the purpose of the entire Old Testament is to highlight that we should be humble, and realize we aren't actually in control of much of significance in life, only God is in control. In our Western culture, that notion is challenged. Most of us don't struggle for basic needs, have an abundance, particularly when compared to the rest of the world, and don't face real persecution (getting banned on Twitter doesn't count). That can mask our need for reliance on God.
You know better than I, that the world isn't fair. Yet God is good and blesses those hardships, as in those moments he blesses us in ways most people won't understand. Through pain comes love. Through hardship comes growth. Through death, comes life. That is exactly what God did for us via his son Jesus, by sending him to live a perfect life/sinless life. To die a death he didn't deserve as to pay the debit I owe, you owe, everyone who lives owes, for being a sinner against a Holy & perfect God, while also conquering death itself by rising from the grave. That all who repent of their sins and believe in the name of Jesus will have eternal life.
I've studied most other religions of the world. The only one that has an answer for reconciling our sin against a Holy God is The Way of Jesus Christ.
If that’s what you want then homeschool you bigoted piece of shit.I for one would be ok with Transgender kids not being allowed in the classroom with my kids. They don't need to be around mentally ill people and transgenderism is a mental disorder.
Unfortunately, you're spot on...Now that this thread was resurrected we have to thank SCOTUS for the timing of this decision. It gave the left a talking point that they beat into the head of every single woman in the country until they were brainwashed to ignore all other problems in America when they literally had no other talking points available.
I don’t disagree. I live in Michigan and we just passed a radical pro abortion amendment on Tuesday night. It’s disgusting what we just passed, not only that but the republicans lost control of the house and senate for the first time in 40 years. Now that this thread was resurrected we have to thank SCOTUS for the timing of this decision.
