If you're protein intake is adequate than BCAAs are more or less flavored water. You are not triggering more muscle protein synthesis from them since you're getting enough from your diet. If you're following a plant based diet then your BCAA intake may be inadequate and it could be worth it at that point. It also depends on the dosing. Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are the three big ones that are responsible for muscle protein synthesis so if your BCAAs or protein powder are low in these then the effect may be minimal.BCAAs are about it. Its all you need anything else is over kill. Take it in a protean shake or as a drink. the drink I have is arnold palmer flavor and very refreshing.
