Abstract: Peter Thiel is not merely a venture capitalist—he is a metaphysician of power. His investments, essays, and public statements sketch a coherent worldview in which disruption is salvific, monopoly is revelation, and sovereignty belongs not to the many, but to the exceptional few.

This paper examines Thiel’s ideological
architecture as a form of technoreactionary theology: a system of thought where surveillance replaces conscience, acceleration substitutes for redemption, and secession is treated as a sacrament. We trace how Thiel’s influence stretches beyond markets and into political theology, funding a hybrid cadre of post-liberal thinkers and transhumanist mystics who share a contempt for democratic pluralism. The result is a secularized gnosticism—a gospel of control without grace. Against this vision, we argue for the recovery of covenantal ethics: a relational metaphysics grounded in limits, mutual responsibility, and the dignity of the unexceptional. In doing so, we expose the spiritual failure of elite futurism and call for a new theology of peace beyond optimization.

Abstract: Palantir is among the most secretive and understudied surveillance firms globally. The company supplies information technology solutions for data integration and tracking to police and government agencies, humanitarian organizations, and corporations. To illuminate and learn more about Palantir’s opaque surveillance practices, we begin by sketching Palantir’s company history and contract network, followed by an explanation of key terms associated with Palantir’s technology area and a description of the firm’s platform ecosystem. We then summarize current scholarship on Palantir’s continuing role in policing, intelligence, and security operations. Our primary contribution and analysis are a computational topic modeling of Palantir’s surveillance patents (n=155), including their topics and themes. We end by discussing the concept of infrastructuring to understand Palantir as a surveillance platform, where we theorize information standards like administrative metadata as phenomena for structuring social worlds in and through access to digital information.

Originally named Peleus and known as In-Q-It, In-Q-Tel was "the brainchild" of former Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet.

Gilman Louie was In-Q-Tel's first CEO and Norm Augustine, a former CEO of Lockheed Martin, led the board of directors.

In-Q-Tel's mission is to identify and invest in companies developing cutting-edge technologies that serve United States national security interests.

Congress approved funding for In-Q-Tel, which was increased in later years.

Origins of the corporation can also be traced to Ruth A. David, who headed the Central Intelligence Agency's Directorate of Science & Technology in the 1990s and promoted the importance of rapidly advancing information technology for the CIA.

In-Q-Tel now engages with entrepreneurs, growth companies, researchers, and venture capitalists to deliver technologies that provide superior capabilities for the CIA, DIA, NGA, and the wider intelligence community.

In-Q-Tel concentrates on three broad commercial technology areas: software, infrastructure and materials sciences.

And knowing tesla damned near brought down, either Philadelphia or Chicago with a reverse engineered prototype, what do they have now and why won't anyone put two and two together outside of a synopsis of such tech and use.
