Excited that Opening Day is upon us. MLB did a great job with their telecast and general coverage during the scamdemic. Looking forward to seeing some more butts in seats in stadiums tomorrow and some more crowd noise.

Lifelong Dodger fan here hoping to defend last season's title. Pre season predictions here:

NL West: Dodgers
NL Central: Cards
NL East: Braves
NL Wildcard: Padres vs Mets(Padres winner)

NL Cy Young: Walker Buehler
NL MVP: Ronald Acuna
NL Pennant: Dodgers

AL West: A's
AL Central: White Sox
AL East: Yankees
AL Wild Card: Blue Jays vs Astros(Blue Jays winner)

AL Cy Young: Gerrit Cole
AL MVP: DJ LeMahieu
AL Pennant: Yankees

World Series: What the entire world wants- Dodgers vs Yankees
World Series Champs: Dodgers

Twins fan here. Hopefully their offense is enough to pull them thru the AL central.

Aww shit. Gonna have some fun on crootn this season!
Had a boss, now a retired 3 star, that is a baseball historian (no shit) and a huge Dodger fan. Has thrown out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium. We would get into some heated baseball conversations, and we would laugh at the end of it all. We still give each other shit all season long.

I think that AL Central race will be a good one between the Twins and the Sox with the Indians being a dark horse. I refuse to call the Indians the Cleveland Baseball Club.

Ya, should be a good one. I see the Sox lost one of their sluggers for the year. If the back of the twins rotation can be even decent I don't see them losing the division. AL west is one I really have no clue about, can't remember who did what last year.

I’m hyped. I’m on mobile so hard to give all my picks, but ATL all the way. Max Fried NL Cy Young, Freeman NL MVP.

Somewhat of a bold pick on DJ Lam OP

Someone convince me to watch baseball this year. Never been a huge fan...
I just do fantasy baseball mainly. Always pulled for the Braves, but generally too busy to do more than keep up with the scores during the regular season

The NL should be full of good battles this year. A bunch of really well rounded teams.

Cubs fan here. Don't have too high of expectations this year since we lost Darvish on the bump. Lost Lester too, who has been a workhorse, but is on the decline of his career. If the hitters get going like 2 years ago with Bryant, Baez, Rizzo and Contreras being around .280 - .300 while hitting for power, and Joc Pederson hits similar to historically, we should be a good offensive team, but that could be a stretch given how crappy they were last season. But the big question mark, as usual, will be the bullpen.

I love baseball, always have. What I don’t love is BLM on the mound at Wrigley Field last season. Fuck that shit and every piece of shit owner that went along to get along.

Took a flier on DJ. Almost went with Bo Bichette but figured a Yankee would win it and the other options spend too much time on the DL.

Losing Darvish is addition by subtraction, IMO.

Will be interesting to see what Joc does in Wrigley. Dude can hit it a long way.

There’s been some horrific home plate umpiring today across all games I’ve watched. Lots of missed balls and strikes. I blame Chy-na. Wtf

Still angry my team didn’t play yesterday, but still tuned in to everything. It’s time for home plate umps to go the way of field goal posts in the front of an NFL endzone. Zero reason a strike zone shouldn’t be permitted by our current tech. Fucking tired of 60 years old guy with two eye surgeries calling balls and strikes. Idiotic.

Trying to watch the Braves game and they switched to this bullshit Bally Sports South which you can’t find anywhere
Sportsurge. Streams all the major sports. Its how I watch the Bolts now that Fox Sports South disappeared from Frontier.

I don't mind Hendricks as starter. He's never been one to blow people away, but he typically has great control and mixes his pitches up to keep hitters off balanced. That's the difference with a guy like Darvish. You can sit on his offspeed stuff, then he'll blow a fastball by you, with movement.

Hendricks is a good pitcher, but he’s not a #1 and probably not a #2 pitcher, imho.

I'd honestly be fine with him as a #2 guy, but would love to have an ace. Darvish was that last year. Arrieta and Lester were studs a few years ago. Just not much arm talent for the Cubs this season.
