The East Plano Islamic Community (EPIC), recently rebranded as The Meadow, plans to include around 1,000 homes, a mosque, schools, and additional community facilities.
Texas officials have expressed concerns that those behind the project could seek to enforce Sharia law within the community.
The developers received a favorable ruling from a Travis County judge, who ordered the Texas Workforce Commission to abide by the previously agreed-upon terms.
The Commission had maintained that the project remains under active investigation.
“This development remains under active investigation with our federal partners at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). We are taking immediate steps to appeal this decision,” the agency stated.

https://www.facebook.com/#Oprah Winfrey's charity, "Coats for Kids," took a $300 million grant from USAID during the Biden administration.
The money was to source, ship, and distribute coats for needy kids in cold climates.
In three years, she's shipped 106 coats. That's a bit over $2.8 million per coat.
The people want our money back.
