President Trump’s biggest accomplishments in the past year, based on White House reporting, were border enforcement, crime reduction, economic moves, and major deregulation. The White House says his first 365 days back in office included the largest one-year homicide drop in U.S. history, record-low illegal border crossings, and trillions in reshored investment commitments.

Border and immigration

The clearest headline accomplishment was border control. The White House says illegal border crossings fell to their lowest level since the 1970s, fentanyl trafficking at the southern border dropped by 56%, and the administration induced about two million self-deportations. It also says 2025 saw negative net migration for the first time in 50 years.

Crime and public safety

The administration is also claiming major gains in public safety. The White House says the country recorded the largest one-year decline in homicides in U.S. history, along with sharp reductions in overdose deaths and crime in selected cities. Those are the most prominent law-and-order achievements highlighted in its year-end summary.

Economy and investment

On the economic side, the White House highlights large private investment pledges and job growth. Its achievements page cites a February jobs report with 151,000 positions added, plus announcements tied to a $500 billion AI infrastructure pledge and other manufacturing and energy investments. It also emphasizes lower trade deficits and stronger domestic production as part of the year’s economic narrative.

Energy and regulation

Another major theme was energy dominance and deregulation. The administration points to approvals and policy changes aimed at expanding fossil fuel production, as well as actions to reduce bureaucracy and roll back regulations. The White House presents this as part of a broader push to lower costs and strengthen industrial capacity.

Health and social policy

The White House also frames parts of the year around health and family policy. It says the administration created a Make America Healthy Again commission, pushed food and drug policy changes, and supported addiction-treatment legislation and drug-price initiatives. These are not as central as border and economy, but they are part of its top accomplishments list.
