John Kloos​

He has become a hero to many non-Catholics. Those without a faith.
Not by pointing them toward Christ and His gospel. Those that hate President Trump feel they have an ally in their hatred. The head of the Catholic Church telling Trump God won’t hear his prayers because of the war.
That is 100% false. It’s regrettable because now the Pope will be seen as a polarizing political operative.
It didn’t help that he met with David Axelrod (Obama Political Operative) on April 9th before all this started. The optics are terrible.
He is already being called out by so many on his words and stance on Islam. Being ridiculed. Disrespected, and that should not be.
If Pope Leo wanted to talk about war and violence it would have been so easy to do rather than level this at the President.
It would have been received. No one likes war and violence. He could have been a voice of peace that brings people together.
Christ is not exalted by any of this.
