Here is another great example. A friend of the family is a single mother (by choice, she wanted a kid and was artificially insemenated). She is a Florida resident and is 55 years old. She worked her entire career at Publix and has well over $1mm in Publix stock though their ESOP. Last year she decided to retire and because she now shows no income qualifies for (and is taking advantage of) food stamps and health care assistance for her and her minor son.
