I saw some people saying that UK can't fix their ships faster because their union rules mandate an 8 hour work day with no overtime. So even in an emergency they work their 8 hours and take the weekend off.

Iran is having infighting. The fanatics didn't want a deal. So the people who signed the deal now have a hit on them from the militant wing. You basically had 4 groups in Iran (from what Tousi said). 70% is against the IRGC but some of those are communist islamist and their problem with the IRGC is that they aren't commies. They'll back the mullahs if they are left with a choice between freedom and what they have.
You have the people who want Pahlavi back who are probably the majority of that 70%. But those people have little power and few guns. If the political wing gets scared enough they may flip to Pahlavi and arm the citizens. Tousi was talking about a group inside Iran that calls themselves "The Imortal Guard". They were supporters of the Shah that never left and still support the monarch and very much consider themselves Persians first and only.
You get the Kurds to cause a distraction that has to be dealt with and the people could basically seize 90% of the cities in short order. Lots of police and military have already stopped showing up for duty in many cities from tons of reports.
