Well guys i got some terrible news today. So I own a 3 acre lot in probably the most popular neighborhood in my small town. Several big money people live in this neighborhood. It’s an older neighborhood with a mixture of houses it was started in the 70’s and really is a wonderful private neighborhood and in a great location just outside the city limits.
So I have been sitting on this lot for 6 years, for a few different reasons. The house that connects to my lot’s is a big 3 story house built in the 80’s kinda of a weird layout and just has never been a popular house it has been for sale a lot over the years and it has had issues. Anyway it just sold recently and I just found out a guy from California bought it and is going to turn it into a half way house. Needless to say the people living in this neighborhood are irate. Me, I’m looking for my exit strategy. All of the covenants have expired because my lot is the only 1 left and I could put a double wide there if I wanted and Everyone is afraid that I might sell to this guy.
It is an absolute shame that something like this can happen in such a wonderful neighborhood. They went to him to try and buy him out NOT FOR SALE, they threatened to sue he said go ahead I’ve been sued before. Apparently he is protected by the laws. The city attorney lives across the street. I guess we’re going to find out
